How to Convert a Webpage to PDF in Google Chrome

Google Chrome is one of the advanced browsers on the web with many hidden features. When using Google Chrome, sometimes you may want to have a backup of online content as a PDF file for offline reading. PDF is a great tool that cannot be easily modified by other users on your computer. Usually, people copy the website content to a Word document and then convert it to a PDF document. However, you don’t need to follow this long process. Chrome allows you to convert a webpage to PDF in seconds without any extra plugins or extensions.

Open PDF in default viewer

On a Mac, you’ll see this option as “Open PDF in Preview”. Clicking this link will open the PDF version of the webpage directly in the Preview application. By using this option, you can open the PDF version without clicking the Save button. After opening the PDF, you can save to your local hard drive and examine the file contents.

Note Some websites prevent the use of right-click to copy content. You can use this method to download content from a right-click protected webpage.
